My Pineo family is originally from Nova Scotia and I have lots of Pineo relatives there still. Mostly set this up for genealogy and ancestry type information. Use this site to announce Pineo family events or just to share information. Ask for features etc and I will see what I can do!

I am still looking for elmer Pineo my grandfather. I believe his brother is floyd. Elmer lived in niagra fall ny in 1930. Floyd lived in cambridge mass
in1930 died in lake wales fla 1979. any info please contact sharcup@live.com thanks

I am a descendant of Bessy Pineo who married into the Moore family, and then into the Rooney family- and ran a farm in Kentville, Nova Scotia several generations ago. Her line came from Peter Pineo (son of Jacques; Lebanon, CT) who got a huge land grant in Port Williams. I would like to meet fellow Pineos in this line the next time I visit Nova Scotia.

Started a family tree, my father is David Leon Pineo, born in Detroit Michgan, he has 6 sisters and 2 brothers, all his brothers and sister were born in Detroit Michigan. My grandfather is Leon Elmer Pineo he married Mary Elizabeth McDonald, Leon was born in Winchester MA. From what I understand, if your name is Pineo and your family comes from Nova Scotia, you all descend from James Pinneau who arrived in 1760 as one of the Planters from New England. The name changed and is unique to this province as far as I know. My husband is descended from James,Peter,Rev John,Peter,Nancy who married a Newcombe.
